We offer sharpening services from 2 separate factory locations - Ontario & Manitoba. The Ontario factory is our main location. The majority of tools will be sharpened there. Our Manitoba facility is where we manufacture our end mills, so we’re also able to sharpen them along with a couple other metal working products - solid carbide drills & annular cutters. To avoid confusion, we have a separate page dedicated to our Manitoba location (click here). All other links will direct you to the main sharpening facility in Ontario. Pick Up & Delivery Information
Our sharpening services are open to all customers within Canada and the US. We charge the shipping to and from our factory up-front and will provide you with a courier waybill. We’ll even pick up your order directly from your door! Part of our process is working with you to find the most convenient option. Whether that be scheduling a specific time frame for a courier to pick up from you or locating the nearest Purolator/UPS/Fedex depot. Our goal is to sharpen your tools back to the original factory specifications while providing you with the highest possible level of convenience.
Note: Our facility in Ontario does NOT ship Canada Post. This means sharpening returns from Ontario cannot be delivered to PO Boxes so part of our service (prior to you sending your items out) is that we can help you find a suitable pick up depot for you to collect your sharpened tools from. Service Requirements
- Some tools are only serviced if they’re composed of High Speed Steel (HSS) or Carbide. Please see the “Specification” tab when selecting your service!
- In order to make your shipment worthwhile, it is recommended to send at least $50 worth of sharpening at a time. Otherwise, you could end up paying more on shipping than the actual sharpening service.
- Specific to the Manitoba factory: End Mills, Drill Bits & Annular Cutters require a minimum of 5 or more per size bracket to send them in for sharpening. You can see what the size brackets are when using the sharpening service order page.

Additional Fees & Service Charges
You may be charged for extra services on your items if deemed necessary to complete your sharpening. For example; tooth replacements, hammering out warped blades & extra heavy grinding for proper bevels. We will proceed with these services uninterrupted so long as the charges do not exceed a total of 50% of the replacement cost of the item. You will then be billed prior to your items being returned.
In the case of an item being either unserviceable or exceeding the 50% replacement cost in additional charges, we will contact you ASAP. You will then be able to decide if you want to put the sharpening fee towards a brand new item or to take a refund on it. If all items are unserviceable, you will have the option to abandon them at our facility and receive a refund on the sharpening fee(s) & return shipping cost OR you can have your items returned to you and only receive a refund on the sharpening services. Of course, you can also use the sharpening fees to pay for the replacement cost of new item(s) as well. It’s totally up to you!
