Klingspor furnishes their abrasive sheets PS 73 BW with a paper backing (B-paper). Paper backings are grouped into classes A though G based on their mass per unit area. A-papers are the lightest, while G-papers are the heaviest. Consequently, the backing used for the abrasive sheets PS 73 BW is rather light. The abrasive grain coating covers between 70 % and 80 % of the surface. Referred to as semi-open, this type of coating leaves a number of spaces between the abrasive grains, allowing for an effective discharge of abrasive dust, chips and other debris. Despite its high removal rate, the PS 73 BW has a minimal tendency to clog during sanding on varnish, filler, paint and plastic. This allows for expedient work without any interruptions.
